Common questions.

When should I choose welded over seamless?

Choose welded for large diameters, thin walls and long lengths at lower cost. Choose seamless for extreme pressure, temperature cycling or the most aggressive media. Our engineers will recommend honestly based on your service conditions.

Is the weld seam as corrosion-resistant as the parent metal?

Yes when properly made: we use matching filler (e.g. ERNiCrMo-3 for 625), full solution annealing after welding, and 100% NDT of the seam. The MTC covers the welded product.

What NDT is included as standard?

100% eddy-current testing of the weld seam is standard. Ultrasonic and full radiographic testing are available on request at quoted cost.
